Everything you need
to write about Aukilo
without calling us.

The story in three lengths, our commitments, high-resolution visuals and up-to-date figures. And if you need anything else, we answer fast.

The story

Three lengths,
one single point.

IN ONE SENTENCE

Aukilo is a French app that brings every price back to a single unit — the kilo, the litre or the item — to make comparable products that packaging deliberately makes incomparable.

IN ONE PARAGRAPH

Aukilo is a French mobile app that brings every price back to a single unit, to make comparable products that packaging deliberately makes incomparable. Local prices come from sources shown as such: readings taken in store by users, backed by a photo of the label and then checked by others; promotions from retailers’ public catalogues; and data retailers send directly, published after verification. Every price carries its store, its date and its origin. The app is free for everything that tells you whether a price is expensive; an optional subscription (€2.99 a month or €19.99 a year) splits the shopping list across retailers automatically — or builds it from a single sentence, with the shopping assistant.

IN TEN LINES

The price on the shelf does not tell you the real price. Between a pack of three, a refill and a large format, the only comparable figure is the price per kilo — and it is the one we read the least.

Aukilo brings everything back to that unit. The app groups the formats of one product, shows their price per kilo, and flags the cases where buying more costs more. The pack-size history documents quantity cuts at an unchanged price — shrinkflation: when a pack gets smaller and the label does not move, the trace stays.

Local prices come from the community’s readings — label photographed, dated, located, checked by other members — from promotions in retailers’ public catalogues, and from data retailers send, published after verification and identified as such. No source buys its place: there is no sponsored ranking, no paid placement, and no agreement to leave a price unpublished.

The model: free to know whether a price is expensive, paid to organise your shopping accordingly. Aukilo is independent of retailers, ad-free, and sells no individual data.

Our commitments

Four lines
we never cross.

They hold for the general public as much as for retailers. Every page of the site, every professional offer is built inside these four constraints.

Independent

No retailer shareholder in the company.

Ad-free

No banner, no placement, no sponsored content.

No paid ranking

No promotion, no hidden price, whatever the source.

Data never sold

No individual data passed on. Anonymised aggregates only.

Wording

How we talk
about Aukilo.

What we say

  • “The first price-per-kilo community in France”
  • “A label reader”
  • “Prices recorded in store, dated and verified”
  • “Data sent by retailers, published after verification”
  • “An optimisation scenario is a suggestion”

What we do not write

  • “Comparison site” in visible copy (tolerated for search)
  • “Thanks to AI”, “our algorithm” — “AI” only applies to the shopping assistant
  • A savings percentage that cannot be read in the app
  • A prescriptive store recommendation
  • A promise of savings at the till

Whenever savings come up: the amounts are gaps spotted on recorded prices, not a guarantee at the till. Travel costs and shelf availability remain the user’s own judgement.
